Antique Jumeau Composition Doll Body and Shoes with Déposé Bisque Head

An antique Jumeau composition doll body, #3, with a bisque head marked ‘DEP 2’. The doll features a Déposé bisque socket head topped with loose blonde curls, pierced ears, porcelain sleep eyes with real lashes, rosy cheeks, and parted coral lips, and is marked ‘DEP, 2’. She is dressed in a layered antique ivory lace dress over a ball jointed composition body, stockings, intricate millinery, and leather shoes tied at the ankles. The soles of her feet are marked ‘3’ and the underside of her shoes are impressed with the form of a bee and ‘3, Paris, Déposé,’, trademarked by Jumeau in 1891 and 1906.
