A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan area rug.This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of coral-red,pale pink , skyblue, olive,peach,ocher, and brown. The field is patterned with Shah Abbasipalmettes, lancet leaves,and floral branches. It has a carnation meander border and a sawtooth guard border. It has fringe to either end with overcast selvedges. Unmarked.
