A lithograph on paper titled The Student Drawing after listed French artist Jean Baptiste-Simeon Chardin (1699 – 1779). This print depicts a man seated on the floor with back to the viewer busy at work sketching on a folio with blank canvases and a sketch of a nude female hanging on the wall in the background. The piece is unsigned, but includes printed information in French to the lower margins. It is presented behind a white mat in a gold tone wooden frame with a hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- moderate discoloration to image and mat; foxing present at lower left; minor wear to frame.
