A 19th-century chromolithograph print on paper by Daumont titled Antichambre from architect César Daly’s book L’Architecture Privée au XIXe Siècle. The piece depicts an elaborately designed interior wall, labeled to the center with ‘Antichambre, Hôtel rue de Lisbonne, No 32 à Paris – Plafond, Par M.M.H. Fevre, Archte et Frechou, Peintre-Decoratr’. It is matted and presented under glass in a gold tone wooden frame.
Condition
- crease to center of paper; slight discoloration and foxing to print; nicks, chipping, edge wear and scratching to frame; small tears to frame’s backing paper; no hanging hardware.
