A late 20th-century oil painting on canvas by listed American artist William Benecke (1934 – 2001) titled Above the Courtyard. The piece depicts an upward view of potted flowers and greenery arranged along a metal railing that surrounds a sunny courtyard, set against a backdrop of arched openings and hazy blue skies. The work is signed in graphite to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a gold tone wooden frame with linen liner. The frame backing includes a label with artist information.
