An antique silver plate match holder by Derby Silver Co. This piece features a rectangular shape with a pierced anthemion style border, as well as an embossed scrolled seal on the matchstick pocket, depicting a standing lion to the center and a crown at the top. The frame rests on two scrolled feet on the back. The back is stamped, ‘Derby Silver Co. Derby, Conn.’
