D.F. Nastri Original Oil Painting "High Horse Brulé Sioux Chief"
Item Details
An original, signed and framed oil painting on canvas, titled High Horse. Brulé Sioux Chief, by D.F. Nastri, after a black and white circa 1900 photograph of the chief taken by photographer J.A. Anderson. The painting depicts the Sioux chief with black hair, wearing a feathered headdress and a tan deerskin shirt embellished with beads and fringe. The painting is titled and signed to the lower left corner, ‘By D.F. Nastri. 2000’. It is housed in a wood frame with a hanging wire on the back. A facsimile of J.A. Anderson’s photograph of this Sioux chief is affixed to the frame backing board.
