Item Details
A handwoven Gobelin Groszki Polish accent rug/wall hanging. This wool and flax artisan’s weaving features a depiction of two intertwined plants with full blooms, buds, leaves, stalks, and tendrils over a field that graduates from light heathered brown to darker brown, and finally, near the lower end, a rich heathered mocha. The palette is cream, pink, gray, and a full complement of browns. The rug is signed ‘BB’ at the lower right corner. Selvedges and ends are hand-finished. Hooks are attached to the top of the rug. Labeling on the reverse includes ‘Projekt Art Plant.’
