A French Provincial style painted desk, a set of drawers and a chair. The desk features a rectangular top over a kneehole with a pencil drawer and an aligned shallow drawer over a file size drawer to the left. The grouping includes a set of three drawers with a rectangular top that aligns with the desk top. Both pieces feature ivory painted wood with black flyspecking, incised lines accented with gold paint, brass plated hardware brushed with white enameled paint and rise on tapered legs. A gold painted wood chair features a scalloped crest rail and turned back slats. The seat is covered with a removable seat cushion secured with ties and covered in a soft colored rose pattern with leaves. The chair rises on turned front legs and tapered back legs joined by stretchers. Companion piece listed under 17CHI183-008.
