Assorted English Silver and Silver Plate Tableware
Item Details
An assortment of British sterling silver and silver plate tableware. Included in this assortment is a variety of twelve bullion spoons and two tablespoons. Five of the spoon are marked with British hallmarks including a lion head for London, an anchor for Birmingham, and a lion passant for sterling. Also present is a pair of tongs, a small trivet with pierced openwork and a curved handle, a tea strainer with foliate chased accents, a candle snuffer, and two sets of smaller tongs. One pair of tongs is marked with British hallmarks including a lion passant. In addition a serving spoon, three serving forks, and three napkin rings are included. Two of the napkin rings, both matching, are marked with hallmarks of a lion passant, a lion head for London, and an ‘a’ date letter for 1896. The items vary in style and maker.
