Item Details

A Chippendale style secretary bookcase by Ethan Allen. This stained pine piece has a top and bottom portion which separate. The top has an arched and beveled cornice over a glass paned cabinet door with wooden overlay and gold colored handle. Inside are four wooden shelves with plate lines, and two of the shelves are adjustable. The bottom portion has a secretary with slant front that rests on pull out slats and opens to scalloped and turned column divided storage. The desk sits over four drawers with gold bails and batwing plates; the entire piece is raised on a scalloped apron and corner bracket feet. It comes with a skeleton key for the desk. ‘Ethan Allen’ is marked inside a drawer.
