Pair of Copper Coal Scuttles
Item Details
A group of two copper and brass coal skuttles, with blue and white ceramic handles. The scuttles have wide, rounded bodies with spouts and handles on the backs and taller hinged brass handles on the tops. The tall handles have lion head motifs, and the skuttles rest on round brass bases.
Condition
- all have surface marks, dings, discoloration and oxidation
- one has the handle detached – missing the hardware
- one has a damaged base, with a large crack
- small chips to the ceramic handles
