A vintage hand-knotted Persian Malayer carpet runner. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of rose, salmon, apricot, camel, cream, mocha, and sapphire. It features an allover, structured herati pattern incorporating diamonds, stylized palmettes, geometric flowerheads, and leaves over a purposefully abrashed field in phases of apricot, salmon, and rose. Framing the field are four borders, including meandering floral patterns, repeating florets, and a sawtooth inner guard border. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short cotton warp fringe. Unlabeled.
