Item Details

A 1938 hand painted porcelain figurine by the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory. This depicts a plump penguin, sitting on its feet with its head lifted. It is marked underneath with the 1923 mark featuring a green crown and ‘Denmark’ maker’s mark, blue waves and ‘GF’ painters mark, along with ‘3003’.

Condition

- fair; some scuffs along the bottom edge; wear to the glaze seen particularly along the edges of the beak, on the left side of the neck; chip at the lower back.
