A hand-knotted Indo-Persian area rug. This hand-knotted wool carpet features a color palette of red, burgundy, salmon, brown, dove gray, amber, olive, and ivory. It has a large diamond shaped central medallion with a hooked crenelated border and a red field patterned with eight pointed stars, birds, and wolf’s mouth motifs. It has prominent corner brackets with corbeled edges and semi-circular medallions. It has short fringe to either end and it is not marked.
