A handwoven Baluch Timuri wool soumak area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, indigo, madder red, cranberry, sky blue, and camel. The small ivory field features rows of boteh motifs, framed in a star medallion border, along with sawtooth, geometric, modified Kochak cross medallion and comb patterned, and barber pole guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the embroidered woven ends. Unlabeled.
