A Whiting Manufacturing Company sterling silver flatware set in the Imperial Queen pattern. This pattern was designed by Charles Osborne and first introduced in 1893. It features a scalloped shell accent at the terminal with a scrolled, reeded border along the edges of the stem and a scrolled plume detail where the handle joins the utensil end. Some pieces have a personalized engraving on the handle. The collection includes twelve dinner forks, five cream soup spoons, seven teaspoons, twelve dessert forks, six five o’clock teaspoons, six bouillon spoons, five flat handle butter spreaders, five hollow handle luncheon knives with non-sterling blades, twelve hollow dinner knives with non-sterling blades, two hollow handle carving forks with non-sterling tines, one hollow handle carving knife with a non-sterling blade, two table spoons, and a punch ladle. The set comes in a lined, wooden flatware storage case and has a total approximate weight of 65.205 ozt, excluding pieces with non-sterling elements.
