1940/1941 Reds Scorebooks

Item Details

A pair of Cincinnati Reds scorebooks, one from 1940, one from 1941. The 1940 scorecard’s cover has the banner ‘National League Champions 1939’; the Reds went on to win the World Series in 1940. The Reds played the New York Giants on the day this scorebook was issued. The 1941 scorecard’s cover has the banner ‘World Champions 1940’ and the Reds played the Brooklyn Dodgers. Neither scorecard was used.
