Antique Apothecary Scale and Weights
Item Details
An antique apothecary scale with assorted weights. This balance scale features metal scales and a wooden rectangular shaped base with a single drawer. This balance was commonly used by assayers to measure crushed rock samples (pulp) from which gold or other metals would be extracted and weighed. Also includes a collection of vintage balance weights. There is a paper inside the drawer of the scale with information about the scale.
