Wedgwood George Washington Inaugural Commemorative Plates

A collection of six vintage commemorative plates from Wedgwood. These pieces all feature blue transfer printed images of New York City landmarks, as they relate to the inauguration of George Washington, including Fort George and the City of New York, Broadway and the Bowling Green and the Iron Bridge Central Park and others. The plates all carry the same floral rim design. The undersides of the plates are marked with a large stamp with identifying information saying, ‘Commemorating the Inauguration of George Washington at Federal Hall. New York April 30.1789 and the New York World’s Fair 1939.

- faint surface marks present throughout; would benefit from cleaning.
