A gouache on card action study of the award winning basketball player, Eddie Johnson who played for the Atlanta Hawks from 1977-1987. Painted by Warren Edgar Lamm (American, born 1937) circa 1975 and stamped verso with Certification of Authenticity. Inscribed lower right ‘Hawks’ Eddie Johnson’. This well-listed artist, art director and sports illustrator studied at the Chouinard Art Institute, (1958), and received his Bachelor in Fine Art from San Jose State University. He is a member National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and was the recipient of seven Emmy awards between 1976 and 1993 for Art Direction. He has also received 5 awards from the New York Art Directors Guild and eleven awards from the Broadcast Design Association in addition to awards from the Anmerican Society of Illustrators.
