Vintage Royal Doulton "Long John Silver" Character Jug

A vintage ceramic character jug by Royal Doulton. This earthenware mug depicts one of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic characters from Treasure Island, the pirate Long John Silver. John Silver is depicted wearing a black hat adorned with a skull and crossbones, with his pet parrot, Captain Flint, perched on his shoulder. The undersides are marked, “Royal Doulton, Made in England, Long John Silver, D. 6335, Corp 1951, Doulton & Co. Limited’.
