Vintage Three-Panel Gilt Overmantel Mirror

Item Details

A vintage three-panel gilt overmantel mirror, circa early 20th century. The wood and composition frame is rectangular in shape and features an arched pediment with scrolled-foliates above three mirror plates. The frame corners are molded with cartouches while the plate dividers have floral terminals. The mirror is unmarked and there is a hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- some small finish losses, mostly to the vertical plate dividers; scattered cracks and losses to composition moldings, with a heavier concentration near right corners; some later paint touchups; backing paper with tears and tape repairs; middle mirror plate slightly loose in frame.
