Vintage Louis XV Style Marquetry Commode with Marble Top

Item Details

A vintage Louis XV style marquetry commode with a marble top. The commode features a rectangular, breche rouge top with serpentine edges above a bombé-form case with inlaid, floral sprays and gilt-metal mounts. There are two machine-dovetailed, long drawers over a shaped skirt and the commode rises on cabriole legs with sabots. The case and top are stamped ‘Made In Italy’.
