Newport Sterling Silver Porringer with Coin Silver Salt Cellars
Item Details
A grouping of a sterling silver porringer with two coin silver salt cellars. The porringer by Newport Sterling, a trademark of Gorham, features a flat-bottomed well with curved sides and a rolled rim and a pierced handle to one side. It is marked to the underside ‘Newport Sterling 1627’. It is presented with a pair of salt cellars that each have a center repoussé medallion and anthemion patterned border. The cellars are stamped ‘900’ along with ‘KK’ and ‘AG’ in the wells. The total approximate weight is 2.590 ozt.
