An Elgin carriage mantel clock. This clock features a mahogany finished wooden case, with a molded crown and base, topped with a brass toned handle. The ornate clock face displays black Roman numerals on a gold colored dial with gold toned hands, along with three key holes, marked ‘Elgin’. The verso offers a door with a hanging key, and houses the clock mechanism marked ‘Elgin Clock Division, Elgin National Watch Co., Germany, Two (2) Jewels’, and ‘Germany’ marked to the case.
