Item Details

An antique engraved map of the United States. The piece depicts a mid 19th-century view of the states and territories with hand-colored accents in pink, blue, yellow and orange. The print is matted in off-white and presented under TrueVue conservation glass in a decorative wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- wrinkling; discoloration, foxing, staining and wear to paper with age; fold line to center of map; text from verso shows through in some areas; minor wear and scuffing to frame; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly.
