A hand-knotted Baluch wool carpet runner. This rug also features goat hair, and is rendered in a palette of cranberry, indigo, sand, and wine. Beginning the field are five diamond medallions with hooked surrounds. Framing the field is a knotted cross-like border, with a woven zigzag border, and a band of woven barber pole borders at each end. Finishing the rug are multiple overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
