Vintage Hand-Knotted Kurdish Bijar Accent Rug

Item Details

A vintage hand-knotted Kurdish Bijar accent rug. This Persian wool rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, deep indigo, navy blue, rose, ivory, wine, and sand. Beginning the lozenged field is a large pendant medallion along with geometric florettes, and other floral motifs. The field also features floral embellished notches, sawtooth motifs, and geometric spandrels, framed in a stylized floral meander border with sawtooth guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and short cotton warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
