Wooden Turtle Style Rattle

A wooden turtle style rattle. This piece is crafted with a pierced wooden handle and shield shaped body which terminates in a protruding knob. It boasts a raised turtle to the center composed of hammered metal. It is framed with additional metal panels and stitched details which wrap around the sides to the verso. The piece bears no discernible maker’s marks.

Condition

- surface scratches and minor wear throughout consistent with gentle use; chips to wooden handle and knob, tested and does not make a sound.
