An antique trunk and stand. The trunk is made of elm and Chinese oak with an origin from the Shanxi region of China. The piece features a distressed red lacquered exterior that is decorated with gold tone butterflies and ornamentation. The chest features a brass butterfly shaped lock to the front. The piece is supported on a wooden stand with four Asian style legs. The piece comes with an attached certificate of antiquity.
