A pair of 1871 hand-colored engraved fashion plates from Godey’s Lady’s Book, a 19th-century women’s magazine. Featured are Godey’s Fashions for January 1871 and Godey’s Fashions for March 1871, each by Kimmel and Forster of New York. They depict women in formal 1870s attire with watercolor accents in green, blue, pink and brown. The prints are presented under glass in matching wooden frames with gold tone accent, each fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- discoloration, crease marks and foxing to paper with water damage and staining to edges; edge wear and scuffing to frames with residue to surface; tears to backing paper.
