Oneida Community "Morning Star" Silver-Plated Flatware
Item Details
A collection of silver-plated flatware by Oneida Community. The first group includes six dinner knives, a pierced pie server, twelve spoons, seven soup spoons, three salad forks, five dinner forks, and a serving spoon. They are in the Morning Star pattern, first introduced in 1948, which feature a slightly flared handle with squared tip and a floral motif with pierced accent and reeded borders. A serving spoon and meat fork in a different pattern is also included, marked ‘Community Plate’. The assortment is presented in a wooden flatware chest with purple felt-like interior lining.
Condition
- mild surface wear including mark, scratches, and tarnishing; flatware chest has some surface wear and scratches to the exterior.
