An 1860s Neoclassical style sterling silver salver by Tiffany & Co. This piece has an oval shape, featuring a meandering patterned rim and four acanthus leaf accented legs with square feet. It is stamped to the underside “Tiffany & Co. 1507 English Sterling 925 1000 4129 500 Broadway’, flanked by two Gothic ‘M” marks for J.C. Moore & Son that was used between 1854 to 1869. In addition, the first number, ’1507’, is the pattern number and dates this piece between 1860 to 1865. The approximate weight is 31.680 ozt.
