Hitchcock Painted and Stenciled Arm Chair

Item Details

A painted maple arm chair with stenciled decoration in an Early American style, marked L. Hitchcock. Hitchcockville. Conn. Warranted., on the rear seat edge. The back has a turned crest rail with pillow, above a decorated cross rail and spindles, scrolled arms and a natural finished plank seat. The chair rests on turned legs with gilt accents and stretchers. Circa 1950-60.
