A pair of contemporary gouache paintings on papyrus depicting ancient Egyptian motifs. Featured is a seen of the the Underworld with Anubis weighing the would of the figure on the left. The god of the underworld Osiris sits on his throne to the right. Also included is a depiction of a woman giving birth with several midwives. Both works are signed illegibly by the artists to the lower corners. All are presented behind glass in black mat and in matching gold tone frames.
Condition
- light wrinkling; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; staining to matting.
