A hand-knotted Romanian carpet runner in a Persian tribal style. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of deep teal, ocher, madder red, indigo, black, and ivory.It features four hexagonal pole medallions in alternating shades of ivory and deep red with crenelated hooked edges in ocher and black. It has an interior border of thin stripes and rectangular shapes with triangular hourglass motifs at the four corners. The ivory colored main border is patterned with a meandering vine pattern with hooked squares and geometric forms. It has short fringe to either end . Unmarked.
