A hand-tinted planographic reproduction print after an engraving by Thomas Spencer (b. 1700) titled The Portraiture of Crab late the Property of the Right Honble the Earl of Portmore. The print depicts a white horse and its handler standing from a profile view with an autumnal landscape in the background. There is text below the image that describes the horse’s achievements. It is presented under a blue mat with marbling details and gold-toned stripes. The print is under glass inside of a deep red wooden frame with a gold-toned stripe, paper backing, and wire on verso.
