A Chinese rose medallion porcelain jardiniere with a carved hardwood stand. The jardiniere features a round, flared rim above a conforming, tapered body decorated with scrolled, figural reserves. Filling the gilt background are scrolled, green tendrils interspersed with multi-colored flowers and butterflies while the interior has three orange carps swimming amidst underwater plants. The underside displays a red, Chinese character mark along with a paper label reading ‘Made In China / For Decorative Use Only.’ Also included is a carved hardwood stand with five scrolled and pierced legs joined by a circular stretcher.
