Matching Lamps After Masse's "Escrimeurs"

Item Details

A pair of matching table lamps after a sculpture by Rene Charles Masse (1855-1913) titled Escrimeurs. These matching lamps are topped with white cotton, square corner bell shades over the body of a fencer. They stand on circular bases that are marked ‘CH Masse.’ A support pole has been applied to the back of each terra cotta sculpture to hold the socket and lamp shade.

Condition

- one lamp did not power on at time of testing.
- the sword blade is missing from each fencer.
