A hand-knotted Pakistani panel design area rug. This hand-knotted wool carpet has a rectangular grid design, with a single image in each panel and alternating ground colors of violet, red, emerald, and beige. Motifs included cruciform shapes, lobbed flower blossom and trees of life. At one end is a border of monochromatic blue stripes and it has fringe . It is marked on the reverse ’ Made in Pakistan’.
