A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of red, teal, golden-yellow, indigo and black. It features three hexagonal pole medallions with crenelated edges on a deep indigo-black colored field patterned with eight pointed stars, lobbed flowers and cruciform shapes. It has a main border of flower blossoms on a teal background . It has applied to either end. Unmarked.
