Etchings Including Jacques Villon Aquatint After Bonnard's "La Femme au Chien"

A circa 1925 etching with aquatint on paper by listed French cubist and printmaker Jacques Villon (Gaston Duchamp, 1875 – 1963) after a work by well-listed French Post-Impressionist Pierre Bonnard (1867 – 1947) titled La Femme au Chien. The piece depicts a portrait of a woman and her dog in an interior setting, signed in plate to the lower left. The set also includes an antique etching after an anatomical illustration from De Humani Corporis Fabrica, a book by scientist Andreas Vesalius (1514 – 1564). The print is unsigned but includes a note of ‘Vesalius 1642’ to the matting, as well several indecipherable notes to the frame backing. Both prints are matted in off-white and presented under glass in wooden frames with hanging wire mounted to the verso.

- discoloration and foxing to prints and matting; edge wear and scuffing to frames.
