A set of two mid century etchings on wove paper. Featured is a circa 1959 limited edition etching of women designing a dress by Hungarian-French artist Suzanne Balkanyi (1922 – 2005) titled Salon de Couture. It is signed ‘S. Balkanyi’ in graphite to the lower right and numbered to the lower left as 1 out of an edition of 50. Also featured is an etching depicting an abstract reclining female figure by listed French artist Claude-Perraud (born 1897), signed in plate to the lower left. Both prints are presented unframed.
Condition
- discoloration and warping to paper from age and storage; edge wear and corner creases to both unframed prints.
