An antique hand colored wood engraving from an 1884 issue of Harper’s Weekly, and an 1896 copy of Leslie’s Weekly. The wood engraving, titled A Game Of Lacrosse, depicts two teams engaged in a tense match in front of a crowd seated in wooden bleachers. The image is attributed in-plate to Schell and Hogan after a sketch by H.W. Hall. It is presented unframed in a protective sleeve. The issue of Leslie’s weekly features a cover photo titled Colombe by Falk, depicting a seated model feeding birds.

Condition

-too fair; bends, minor tears, creases and toning
