A machine made Heriz Serapi-style area rug. The rug features a central medallion in pink, cream, dark red, black and taupe on a deep red field. The field is populated by floral and herati patterns in a complementary palette with embellished spandrels and is enclosed by a compound border. The border features a stylized turtle pattern in deep red on a black background. It has an overcast edge and a short applied wool fringe to either end. Unmarked.
