Vintage Spode for Davis Collamore & Company Equestrian Plates
Item Details
A vintage set of porcelain plates by Spode for Davis Collamore & Company. Each piece is hand-decorated with an equestrian or hunting vignette to the well. The scalloped edges are accented with a teal band and gilt trim. They are marked to the underside: ‘Spode Copeland’s China England’ and ‘Davis Collamore & Co. Ltd., Fifth Ave & 48th St., New York.’ Beginning in the mid 1800s, Collamore commissioned and imported porcelain for his chain of high-end department stores. The green underglaze stamp indicates a production date c. late 19th to early 20th century.

- minor marks and surface wear throughout consistent with gentle use.
