Vintage Mexican Pottery Pulque Pot with Cups
Item Details
A Mexican Pulque pot with cups. This vintage green-glazed terracotta piece was used to serve and store Pulque, a fermented maguey nectar also known as ‘agave wine’. The pot features elaborate decoration including applied flowers, a tall floriform lid and hooks for the six matching cups. The pot stands on a three-footed base. There are no visible maker’s marks as is typical for this type of vintage set.
