1880s-Era "Œuvres de Victor Hugo" Volumes

A collection of four volumes from a French-language edition of the works of Victor Hugo. This collection includes Hernani, Les Voix Intérieures, Les Contemplations I: Autrefois 1830–1843 and Les Contemplations II: Aujourd’hui 1843–1855, all published circa the 1880s by J. Hetzel of Paris; these books are uniformly bound in one-quarter leather with marbled boards, raised bands, and gilt spine decoration including the text ‘Œuvres de Victor Hugo’. Also included is a copy of volume IV of Hugo’s La Légende des Siècles with a one-quarter leather binding in a different style, published circa the 1880s by Hetzel and Maison Quantin.
