An 1864 edition in three volumes of Gil Blas of Santillane by Alain-René Lesage, in the translation of Tobias Smollett. This ‘new edition, carefully revised’ of the eighteenth-century picaresque novel was published by Little, Brown and Company of Boston in 1864. The three volumes are bound in half leather with marbled boards and endpapers.
